Opera VPN with unlimited bandwidth, available for free on Android

Update: Opera VPN app has been permanently discontinued as of April 30th, 2018.

Opera has launched free VPN for Android and iOS. It is developed by the same Toronto based company SurfEasy that was acquired by Opera last year. Opera VPN comes with unlimited bandwidth and is easy to set up. You don’t need to sign up or need any subscription to use this app. Moreover, you can choose different virtual regions like Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Singapore and United States.

Opera VPN Easy Setup

Opera VPN let you browse internet safely without losing single penny from your wallet. It doesn’t block ads(as per my test) and just ad trackers only. Moreover you can check in the interface that how many tracker’s it blocked(upto last 30 days). You can also check the security of Wi-Fi with the inbuilt security test.

Opera VPN Security Score

My Overall experience with the speed was good while using the VPN. I was getting 15-25Mbps download and up to 35Mbps upload bandwidth while connected to nearest location. While testing it got hanged two times showing that you’re not connected to the internet while i was connected. Except that app interface is smooth and easy to understand. I hope those few hiccups are nothing over the features provided by Opera VPN and will be fixed in the next update.

Opera VPN Speed Test

Like SurfEasy VPN, Opera VPN no where claims that they don’t keep logs but they do have mentioned about encrypting the traffic. So you can use this VPN to unblock the websites and accessing the free WiFi in your favorite restaurant or at home safely without any compromise of speed. You can download it from the Play Store or App store for free.
